ACH FRAUD PREVENTION

ACH Fraud Prevention is an effective method of protecting your company from unauthorized ACH transactions. United Bank offers two options for fraudulent ACH prevention:

  • ACH Blocks will prevent all ACH credits or debits from posting to your account by any company.
  • ACH Filters will prevent unauthorized ACH credits or debits from posting to your account.
You provide us a list of authorized vendors upon implementation.

POSITIVE PAY

Positive pay utilizes United Bank's account reconcilement processing to provide further account protection against unauthorized check presentments. All checks presented for payment are crossed referenced for complete accuracy against your previously submitted issue file. Any checks with identified exceptions will be intercepted, and you will be contacted for further instructions. Additionally, a full reconcilement is provided containing a numerical listing of paid and outstanding checks and all account activity. Positive pay can also be facilitated by United Bank's Business Online Banking service.

FRAUD MONITORING AND PREVENTION

United Bank utilizes fraud monitoring systems to identify suspicious transactions deemed to be outside of the normal activity of our client's accounts. Suspicious transactions are identified based on a number of factors including account history and account type. Any transactions flagged as exceptions will be intercepted and reviewed by our Security and Fraud Department using signature verification, comparison to other items, and, if necessary, further research conducted by the home branch. If a transaction is confirmed as fraudulent, it will be returned to prevent any loss to our client.
